This is a view from the Benicia State Park of the Carquinez Strait. It was painted after the newest bridge had been constructed and before the oldest bridge had been dismantled. It is a bit of nostalgia for local residents many of whom remember when the oldest of the three was being built. This was a tranquil afternoon, the sun still settling into the western horizon. The original painting is 12x24 inches.
